Portland Duct Cleaning Company Appears to Be Part of a Scam

Whenever a business or homeowner contacts a service company they always want to be sure they are getting what they pay for. Unfortunately, there are many companies that are only trying to scam people out of their hard-earned money by baiting them into paying for services they don’t need or charging them for extra work or hidden fees that “just happened to come up.”

One such case was recently reported by KATU-TV in Portland. According to the television news station, a company called Pacific Home Services has received several complaints from customers for what appear to be shady business tactics. According to one Portland woman, the company called her to schedule an appointment to clean her air ducts and vents for only $45. They claimed it was a “customer appreciation” special. However, the company had never actually been in her home.

When a man arrived for the scheduled appointment he claimed that he actually worked for a company called Home Services Advisor and that he had never heard of Pacific Home Services. However, after the reporter pressed him further and tried to capture the interview on video the man simply drove away.

According to KATU, Home Services Advisor is part of another Napa, California company called Service Champ Master. Police in Napa have warned consumers of a scam that is associated with the phone number being used by this company. You can read the entire article by clicking here.
